We would like to thank all the runners and walkers who came out on April 6th for The 45th Anniversary of the Fool's Run.  Between the 10K and the 5K, there were 224 finishers, a wonderful turnout on a cool but dry April day.

       To celebrate the Sapphire Anniversary, Finishers Medals were provided in both the 10K and the 5K compliments of IRRC member Bill Leydic.  Bill ran the 10K, sporting Bib# 1 and Denny Cruse was there with his son Grant, Denny wearing this year's race bib along with his bib from the first Fool's Run, held in 1979.

       Post-race sweet cupcakes and snacks were served by  The Fool's Run Anniversary Committee with bottled water provided by SERVPRO of Indiana.

​

        The 2024 Fool's Run  took place on the Ghost Town Trail at Saylor Park, Black Lick, PA.  The course is out and back on the rails-to-trails path along the scenic Black Lick Creek. It features no road crossings, making it safe and fun for runners and walkers of all ages, truly a family-friendly event.  The week leading up to the race was very rainy, as has been the week after.  Our thanks to Ed Patterson of Indiana County Parks and Trails and his crew, who worked for days to have the trail in top shape for our race.

       No race can be a success without the help of volunteers on race day.  Our thanks to IRRC members and friends who came out to help, and to volunteers from S & T Bank who managed the water stop as well as other duties.

April 5, 2025.  We hope that you be back with us next year as well as at other 2024 IRRC races.
